Skill Level: Competent
I know how to use MS Word. I don't like it, but it's been the standard since I was in college. I use it every day and am more than competent in its various tools including Track Changes, mail merging, footnoting, etc.
I'm hopeful for the day when I can write professional documents in a more standards compliant web-based app like Google Docs, which I really like, and have everyone think nothing of reading them online. I built this website to serve as my online resume in part because I want prospective clients and employers to access a more engaging version of the standard resume than the one-dimensional Word doc. But I certainly send out plenty of pdf versions of Words docs, and if you require it, I'm ready.
